Making the decision to pursue my green belt has been the best decision of my life to date. Although the curriculum was straightforward, it was also enticing.   • Will I get a Green Belt certification from this course?

    You will receive a certificate at the end of the course with a unique cert number. As you research other programs, remember that there is no one set standard or governing body for Six Sigma certifications. (It's not a license like a PE, nor does it have a uniform curriculum like PMI).

  • Do I need a Yellow Belt before I can take the Green Belt course?

    No, you can start directly with the Green Belt course. The Green Belt lessons incorporate Yellow Belt level topics and then go beyond to introduce more tools and calculations needed to perform at a Green Belt level.

  • I'm a beginner. Can I still take Green Belt?

    Yes! The Green Belt course does not assume any prior knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean. The modules will take you through the material you need to know step by step.

  • How does this course curriculum compare to an ASQ course?

    The ASQ Green Belt body of knowledge includes a lot of manufacturing-specific topics and more statistics than our course. We have applied the Pareto Principle to our curriculum and present the tools that are the most often used across all industries for process improvement projects.

  • Do I need to complete a project to earn my certificate?

    No. A project is not required for the course certificate. However, we encourage you to complete a process improvement project as soon as you finish the course to solidify your skills. Some students even start on a project before the course is complete!

  • Do I need to purchase statistical software for the course?

    No. All of the calculations and graphs presented in the course are performed using Microsoft Excel. If you are a little rusty using spreadsheets, there are quick tutorials included in the course.

  • How long do I have to finish the course?

    Once you enroll, you will have six months (180 days) to complete the course material. Students who work continuously through the material can earn their certificates within three to four months.

  • Will I have access to the course materials after I earn a certificate?

    You will have access to the Green Belt course materials for 180 days after you sign up. Students are encouraged to purchase the course companion slide book on Amazon for $34.99. This full-color book includes a study planner, the course case study, and all the slides from the course videos. A great reference during and after the course!

  • Do I need a Green Belt before I can take Black Belt?

    No! You can jump in directly to the Black Belt course. But, if you aren't comfortable solving algebraic equations, using software or performing statistical analysis, then Green Belt would be right for you.

Where do I begin to describe this wonderful course? First of all, the format of the course was simple and easy to navigate. The course's ability to track your progress and repeat any portion of the course if you get stuck, made it such a pleasure to learn. Additionally, the course can be taken at your own pace, so you will never worry about completing an assignment on time (just make sure you don't procrastinate). My overall experience and pleasure with the course system was excellent. I was able to learn valuable Six Sigma skills that will definitely stick with me in the future. I would recommend this course to everyone who is looking forward in gaining knowledge to support the Lean Six Sigma methodology where it might be needed in your current or future organization.
